RiDO Business Hubs are run by Rotherham Investment & Development Office (RiDO), the regeneration arm of Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council. RiDO has over 30 years’ experience of supporting all types of business and has a strong track record of helping local and international companies develop in the area.
Giving small businesses the right start
The Business Hubs form part of RiDO’s support for new and small businesses. They are the beacons of start-up activity in Rotherham, acting as business incubation centres with RiDO’s business support services built in.
The Hubs are run by knowledgeable staff with a wide range of experience. Amanda Parris, business growth manager, is a holder of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion. The team currently work on a daily basis with approximately 140 businesses across the Hubs, with the aim of helping them innovate and grow to create high quality employment in the area.
Since Century Business Centre opened in 2000, we’ve assisted over 850 small businesses.
What does easy-in easy-out mean?
Our offices and workshops are available on 1-month licence agreements (as opposed to a fixed term lease or rental agreement). This gives you the flexibility to take more or less space at short notice without long term commitments and minimal risk. For us, it means that when you’ve outgrown the premises and are ready to leave and commit to larger property in the local area, you are free to do so, releasing our units for the next early stage business.

Comprehensive support for business
Occupants of the hubs are supported by RiDO’s business advisory team that delivers business start-up, growth and inward investment assistance across the Rotherham area. The team is constantly seeking to deliver best practice in business support, having adopted new modelling tools including Business Model Canvas (Strategyzer). These modern advisory methods are used to help guide entrepreneurs to achieve a better understanding of their business, focus on what’s important and make decisions to help drive success and growth.
Working in partnership
We work in partnership with a wide range of private and public sector organisations. This means we can broker relationships, help navigate supply chains and provide the best advice and guidance for every business we assist. RiDO’s network of support includes Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce, the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, financial institutions, industry organisations, international trade organisations and many more.
RiDO Business Hubs provide over 200 offices and workshops in Rotherham spread over 4 sites.

Century Business Centre offers a mixture of office space and workshops to the north of Rotherham, close to Doncaster and Barnsley.

Matrix@Dinnington offers a range of spacious offices and workshops for the communities around the south of Rotherham with easy access to the M1 and M18 motorways.
